I'm ready for Valentine's Day!

I am so excited about Valentine's Day this year!

It got to the point where I had waay too many ideas and patterns made up for this sweet holiday; I finally had to make myself decide on just a few items to 'cook' up for the shop this year. Hehe... And, since I just ran out of time to add any Christmas themed items to my shop, I wanted to be sure to have Valentine's Day goodies for everyone! Shortening my list of Valentine's Day items helped me to get these little sweeties done!

This is what I have available...

3 Chocolate Valentine's Day Heart Cookie Ornaments

3 Vanilla Valentine's Day Heart Cookie Ornaments

2 Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Ornaments

And 4 Love Bug Charms

I'm going to be listing these in the shop next week, after I get the cards finished. That's right! These are all going to be mailed out attached to little matching handmade greeting cards! I love the idea of getting a little card and a little keepsake all in one! The idea came to me over Christmas break, as I was watching several people scramble around for a 'little something' for so and so... Ah ha! A card and a keepsake!

One very important thing about these little treats... If you would like one, and want to get it by Valentine's Day, the last day for mailing these out is Saturday, January 31. We leave for Disney World on Monday, February 2, and will not be back until around the 13th, depending on whether or not we stop anywhere on the way back. So please be sure to place your orders in time!

If you would like me to reserve one for you before they go up in the shop, just let me know!

Valentine's Day Heart Cookie Ornaments - $8 each plus shipping
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries Ornaments - $8.50 each plus shipping
Love Bug Charms - $6 each plus shipping

Whew! That's all for today!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Hello, 2009!

Wow! Where in the world did last year go??? They just keep going faster and faster, huh? lol

The past few weeks have gone especially fast. We've had family in town from everywhere for the holidays. It's been a really fun, although super busy, Christmas break for me.

Today I've finally had a chance to sit down and work on some new Valentine's Day items:

Hehe... That's a little peak at the beads I'm using for these new items. I just got waaaayyy too busy this holiday season to list the Christmas goodies in my shop in time for anyone to actually get them in time for Christmas. So, I'm saving those for next year, and going ahead with the Valentine treats! They will hopefully be up next week.

I'm trying something sort of new with these Valentine charms. (Hint, hint! Hehe...) A new line of little gifts for people to buy when they just need a little something unique, and aren't able to spend a lot of money for the whole gift and everything. I'm really excited about them, and I have a bunch if ideas. It's just a matter of finding time to actually work on them!

As for the big project I blogged about earlier... I don't know when that will ever get finished. Lately, I'm learning more and more about the sorts of projects that I like working on, and about the style of goodies that I like creating. I have found that I like the sweet and simple items the best.

I love being able to finish up something during an evening spent watching So Dear to My Heart, and sipping cinnamon vanilla cream hot chocolate. (Which is what I plan on doing tonight!) Or something that I can easily take to work to play around with during a movie day. It isn't that I don't put as much love and attention into these smaller projects. It's just that I know I can share more of my treasures if they are on a smaller scale. I also love having a nice variety of things for people to chose from.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hmm... I'm quite in the mood for some beading now! (And hot chocolate!)

I hope you are all having a wonderful 2009 so far!

Hello, Tuesday

Not much going on here today!

Well, my tiny beaded cupcake bracelet is featured in a great treasury right now!

Other than that, it was a pretty ordinary day. Well, as ordinary as a day at a daycare can be, anyway! lol

Right now I'm going to go make myself some soup and watch a Christmas movie!

I love this time of year!

Christmas music on the radio, hot chocolate with cinnamon and marshmallows, snow, parties, Santa... *Sigh* It just doesn't get any better!

And... Now you can build a gingerbread house the non-messy way!

Here's some places online to decorate your very own little Home Sweet Gingerbread home!

One of them you print out and glue. The others are click and drag.

I plan on getting one of those Wilton kits for The Sweetie and I to decorate, too. That will be a fun little project!

We had a great little Thanksgiving holiday, despite this annoying little cold that I've picked up. Blah! We did some Christmas shopping, watched movies, had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, and made it back to Tennessee in one piece!

And now I'm off to work on some new ornaments!

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season so far as well!
