Well, I hope you are all having a wonderful 2012 so far!

I have a LOT going on this year! Some good news, some great news. But all in good time. ;)

In the meanwhile, I have started adding beadwork patterns to my shop!! I thought this would be a great way to still easily offer my products, in the event that I need to close down my shop for a few weeks. :)

Just around the corner...

It is so hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner! Thanksgiving is this week??? How is that possible?? This year has flown by! Lots of ups and downs; I'm anxious to see what this next year holds!

I received an advance copy a couple of weeks ago, and it looks just gorgeous! I am so proud of my book! And I am still in disbelieve when I see my name on the front! What an exciting feeling!

I took a long break from my shop back at the end of summer/beginning of fall. It was nice to work on new things!

Those are the little beaded cupcake charms I made for Sampler Village! The are available individually now in my shop!

I also beaded up a little Minnie Mouse Ears ring. I didn't have any rings in my shop, and thought that would make a nice addition!

There are several other new items as well... Acorn earrings, some new clay charms, and several other new goodies. I will let you discover the other new items on your own. :)

I still can't believe it is the first official day of summer already! My last day of work was actually back in May, so I feel like it's been summer for a while!

I hope you all are staying cool! With temps near 100 here, it is quite difficult!

I think I have finally finished my book! At least all of the main parts. There still might be some little tweaks here and there, but for the most part, it is finished! It will be on shelves this fall! I still feel like it is a wonderful dream to have my own book published!

I also have so many ideas for my shop! I am really hoping to get those ideas turned into finished items soon!

In the meantime, I hope you are all enjoying your summer!

I am SO excited about these new charms! I have been looking for a good way to do this for a very long time!

These are so cute, too! Right around 9/16" wide! They still need to be glazed, and the charm findings need to be added, but you get the idea!

They are going to be $3.50 each or 2 for $6, plus shipping. If you see one (or two!) that you like, just let me know! I'm not sure when/if these will officially be added to my shop, since I don't have a lot of time to photograph each one, and write up the listings. But you can just request the ones you like!

Lazy summer day...

So I figured now would be a great time to give a little update with what's going on in my life right now! It's a lazy summer afternoon, and I'm eager to share some things with you guys!

First of all, I'm having a great summer so far! The Sweetie and I have taken up frisbee! I'm not very good at it. At all. But we're having lots of fun playing together and with friends! Who knew you could have so much fun out in the blazing hot summer sun?

I also got some super exciting news a couple of weeks ago!!! I will be starting work on my first crafty how-to book this summer!!! I've always wanted to write a craft book! I can't believe I'm actually lucky enough to get to do it! I can't go into a lot of details right now, but I can assure you, I will share as much as I can through the process!

I also did a craft show this past weekend! It was a total bust with the rain, humidity and location, but I still had fun!

All the leftover items will be posted in my shop soon! Along with some new items!

One of my good friends and I have been having lots of crafty fun this summer as well!

These charms are from our first crafty session! Shrinky Dink charms! And they are laying on top of my Passporter because...

We are going to Disney World!!! And I am sooo excited about this trip!

You may recall that we were actually planning on going back in May with several other people, but that totally fell through and a bunch of drama ensued. So we've decided to go together in October! Just us girls! We have actually been to Disney World together before, on our senior trip back in 2001! So you can imagine how excited we are to be visiting together again!

I will definitely keep everyone posted about our plans, new jewelry/charms, and just the general goings on of Migoto Chou.

Disney World Essentials

There are certain things you just have to do/see/eat while at Walt Disney World.

If you don't eat anything else on your entire vacation, you have to eat a Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar. You just have to.

I've taken it one step further and decided that it would also be nice to wear one - any time!

My new Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar charm measures right at 1 1/2" tall. To add to the fun factor it is also lightly scented in chocolate fudge! Looks like someone already took a bite!

Added bonus... This one won't melt in the hot Florida sun!

So... I have certainly been busy! I won't go into details, but a lot has been going on around here!

I do have some new things to share!

Glass tile pendants, beaded beads, and more!

As you can see, I have a lot of new things! The glass tile pendants have been added to my shop already. The beaded beads will be added soon, and the Mickey icon pendants and I Heart Mickey pendants will be added in a couple of weeks.

I do have some other necklaces that I am working on as well. When they go in the shop they will be a great deal at only $8! I wanted to offer a line of inexpensive yet great quality items for birthday gifts and such. A few of them will even be customizable!

And my last bit of exciting news... I will be hosting a give-away soon! Keep checking back for details!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hehe...

I felt like Santa Clause yesterday! The Sweetie and I spent about 9 hours just Christmas shopping all over town, eating yummy foods, and having lots of fun with each other in general.

We tried this Cajun place at the mall - Cajun Cafe - and it was soooo delicious! I'm pretty sure I could eat there once a week and not get tired of it!

I also picked out a pomegranate at the grocery store... We tried it today, and I must say that they are quite tasty! They can make a huge mess though! I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube about the best way to get the delicious seeds out. The Sweetie thinks that is way too much work just to eat some fruit! lol

Today we have just been lazy! Stayed in our pjs all day, watching Christmas movies, eating on the delicious soup that Mom brought over, going through the presents that we bought yesterday... Fun times!

I found a recipe book of Christmas candies that I'm hoping to put to good use over the holidays as well! Who knew there were so many different kinds of Christmas candy???

This is such a wonderful time of year! I feel so excited thinking of the days ahead that will be spent with our wonderful families; all the great surprises we were able to find yesterday; all the yummy food; Christmas movies in our pjs while we munch on one of those cheese, beef, and cracker sets... I am so very thankful for each and every one of these things!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season as well!

I can't believe Christmas is in only 4 days! I truly cannot figure out where the time has gone!

And I still feel like we have sooo much to do! Christmas shopping to finish up, figuring out Christmas plans with all the family coming in, DollyWood to see the Christmas lights... Hmm... I guess mainly it's the shopping that is stressing me out! lol I already know what I want to get everyone, it's just a matter of braving the crowds at the shops to get it all!

What are your plans for Christmas holidays?

I also received some very exciting news, but I can't share it just yet! I want to wait 'til it gets closer, and I get the 'official' go ahead! (Nope, the news does not involve babies!)

For now, I'm off to watch A Christmas Story and find some warm dinner!

New Glazed Paper Pendants

This is turning out to be a great weekend! When I woke up and looked out the front door this morning, everything was covered in snow! I'm so excited to see snow on the ground already! Maybe we'll get a really good snow this year! (And I will not be in Disney World to miss it!)

Then, on top of that, I was able to go to the post office before it closed to pick up a very exciting package! New supplies for some new things I'm working on!

Here's a sneak peak of some of the supplies in use!

See those sweet little embellishments? There's plenty more where they came from!

I'm working on a new line of glazed paper jewelry. I'm really happy with the technique, and the finished pendants!

The embellished pendant and these glittered pendants were made using the same process; I just decorated them in a different way. The three on the bottom were made with handmade papers and a nice amount of glitter. The one on top was made using scrapbook and origami paper, along with some special embellishments that I am so excited about! They will be posted in my shop just as soon as I decide on the chain/cord!

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Mine was wonderful! Good food, family, and lots of entertainment, compliments of my Sweet Baboo. (I can't believe how smart he is, at only 2 years old!)

I've been using my time off the past few days to work on a completely new technique. For me anyway. Perhaps somewhere out there, someone else is making beads in this same way, but for me, it's completely new. And I stumbled upon it by accident, which is always exciting! Right now I'm still perfecting my method, so to speak, but I hope to have some jewelry using these beads posted in my shop soon! It's quite a detailed process, but the finished beads are turning out so awesome! I love that it's giving me a chance to use some of my decorative, scrapbook, and handmade papers for my jewelry! I've also had my eye on some of the K&Co Amy Butler papers for these as well. So many possibilities for these little treasures!

And now I'm off for more creating! I hope you all have a lovely fall weekend filled with apples and caramel dip, and crunchy leaves under your feet!

'Tis the Season...

...to be busy!

I've been having such a wonderful school year, and can't believe how the time is flying by! Halloween is already over? It can't be!

I'm very busy these days working on orders, trying out new techniques, and making new items for my shop!

First off, I have some little 1 1/8" Matryoshka doll charms that were just added today. Very fun and glittery!

I also have some new foodie themed charms to add!

This is my favorite! A sweet little 1 1/8" tall cupcake charm! It looks so real it makes my mouth water!

This is just the beginning of a new line of acrylic charms I'm working on. I didn't get the Halloween charms finished in time to add to my shop, but definately look for some cute little Christmas charms soon!

I am just so excited! I feel I have been so productive these past few days, and I have so many new things to share!

The Sweetie's birthday was yesterday, and it was quite a fun day!

We ran around and did some errands, went out to eat, and stopped at The Cupcakery for some birthday yummyness! We got a Peanut Butter Cup cupcake, and a Grasshopper cupcake. Both were delicious! I love the sweet sweet icing from there!

I also finished up a new charm for my shop!

It's just under 3/4" tall, and scented in strawberry buttercream! I even made the clay! The cupcake charms will be available in my shop soon! I want to make up a few more examples in different flavors first.

I was also thinking of offering the scented clay in my shop as well. It's a dream to work with, and smells so yummy! I was thinking a little cupcake kit would be fun! Pink strawberry scented clay, brown chocolate scented clay, and creamy buttercream scented clay! Then people could mix and match their scents!

This post has made me hungry! I am off to get some lunch!

Scented Bon Bon Beads for Jewelry Makers!

I am SO excited!

I finally added the scented beads to my shop!!! They've turned out so much better than I had ever imagined!

And I am also very happy with the simple, yet bright and fun packaging!

I started working on the recipe for these beads two years ago! I have to say though, the end results are well worth the trial and error of the past two years! I really think you guys will love them just as much as I do!

I am having a great summer though!

I've seen 'Up' twice - such a wonderful movie! I would love to see it again! :) And I just have to recommend it to everyone!

I've been to DollyWood, carshows, visiting with my Sweet Baboo, helping my Mom get her Etsy shop going, working on new designs, waiting on new supplies to get here, working on patterns and custom orders, organizing my workspace in the studio, hanging out with friends, planning the next Disney World trip, and waiting for the local shops to get the 'good' watermelons! See? What a busy summer so far!

Oh! I also had my 50th Etsy sale! What a fun milestone to celebrate!

And I promise I will have some very cute, very tiny, new things in my shop soon! ;) I'm just waiting on some very important supplies to get here to finish everything up!

The theme for today is... 'Things that are Sweet'!

The first sweet thing I would like to share is this new little beaded ornament!

It started out as a blue deer with a pink bow at her neck, but really she looks more like... Something else! lol A fox maybe?

The second sweet thing I want to share is this custom Ice Cream Cake Roll Necklace.

It is a custom polymer clay order that I just finished up today! No, it's not real at all... Well, it smells real, like chocolate cake and vanilla cream, but I don't suggest anyone actually try and eat it! ^_^ It was designed from a dessert found at a restaurant called The Chateau. I say 'yum' to that!

I haven't done any polymer clay items in quite a while. It has been fun to play around with it again after getting a couple of poly clay orders! But... I'm really anxious to get back to my precious seed beads! Hehe... I think they will always be my favorite!

As soon as this polymer clay lollipop order is finished drying, I plan on making a few little beaded jewelry items for my shop, since I've been doing the larger ornaments and barrettes lately. So, look for those next week!

I'll be going out of town tomorrow night, and most likely will not be back until late Sunday. So any orders, messages, etc. will be answered/filled as soon as I have time when I get back! I plan on bringing my laptop, so I may have a chance to check emails and convos while I'm there. I will get back to everyone as soon as I can though!

Hehe... Right now it is almost 1:30AM! I'm sooo sleepy, but I feel like I'm wasting valuable time if I go to bed! lol I think about all the things I could be working on if I were awake! ^_^

And I have been so productive so far during my summer break!

Friday we went and saw Wolverine... OMG... Loved it! Then Saturday was DollyWood for a few hours in the evening. We had to get our passes updated for this year.

Then Sunday and today were spent working on hair barrettes!

Crowns, firecrackers, ice cream cones... I'm having a lot of fun with seed beads these days! I've started a list of the things I want to list in my shop each month. We'll see how that goes! :)

For now, I'm going to give in to my sleepiness, and go to bed!

I'm going to Disney World!

And this time a couple of friends are planning on going with me, so it will be a different sort of trip. I'm really excited about it! One of the girls, Cathy, has already been to WDW with me! We went on our Senior Trip together in 2001; one week at Disney's All Star Music Resort. We had a blast! Now we're going back, and (hopefully!) adding one more person to the fun!

I've been in such a Disney World mood lately... Watching WDW YouTube videos, staring at resort maps, drooling over restaurant menus, etc. It's a fun way to pass the time. lol

I also made a new item for my shop!
It's a small set of beaded MM ears that I have attached to a 2" barrette. This particular style is based on the old version of wedding/bridal ears that used to be available at Disney World. I'm also working on a version in the 'classic' colors - black ears with red and white bow. I'm [not so] patiently waiting on my black beads to get here so that I can start on those! I'll be sure to post when I finish the ears!

And... I only have 4 days of work left before summer break!!! I can't believe this year is over already! Time flies when you're having fun! *giggle*

And now I'm off to get ready and run some errands!

You know, I think I'm one of the few people around here who loves rainy days! I love sitting in my studio, looking out the window at the birds flying around, splashes of rain on their backs as they fly... There is something so comforting and peaceful about it!

I noticed as I was sitting here that I am nearing my 50th Etsy sale! You can bet that the person who snags the 50th sale is going to receive something special in their package! ^_^

Speaking of my Etsy shop... I've added a couple of things!

Cherry Blossom Festival

This time of year is Cherry Blossom time for sure! One of the many places on my 'to go' list is Japan, during the Cherry Blossom Festival. How fun it would be!

In honor of this marvelous time of year, I created a special ornament for my shop!

I love this color palette, and plucked it straight from the pictures I've seen of the Cherry Blossom Festivals in Japan. Shades of pink mixed with chocolate brown and a bit of white. I may have a few other color combinations soon. It just depends on whether or not I have some more extra time before summer. I've also thought this would make a beautiful pendant using smaller beads.

So many ideas! So little time!

A very busy week!

What a busy week this was! Family pictures, STARS assessment at work, working on new items, working on orders, getting The Sweetie's car fixed... Whew! I'm sooo glad for the weekend!

I also just counted up the days of work I have left until summer break... Only 24 more days! I can't believe this year is already pretty much over! It seems like it wasn't that long ago that we were welcoming the new kindergarten kids into our class room! It's so fun to watch them grow up and learn during the school year. ^_^

I've also listed a couple new items in my shop.

A Frosting Shot necklace:

This necklace was inspired by the yummy trend of selling little 'shots' of frosting at bakeries and cupcakeries. Being a total frosting fiend myself, I set out to find a way to do this in everlasting jewelry form! Soon I'll be adding Frosting Shot rings, and pins!

I also listed some new supplies. Mickey Mouse beads that I bought at Disney World back in February:

I don't have very many of these left, so if you really want some, get them soon!

The Sweetie and I also did a collaboration of sorts this week. He's a huge fan of the Video Games Live show. (If you haven't seen it, you really should!) And wanted me to make a little beaded something to see what I could come up with. He helped me pick out colors, necklace cord, etc. It was quite a fun effort!

The Sweetie also 'helped' with the photo. ^_^ It was a very fun project to work on together. Hopefully we will do more of this in the future!

I love all the bright colors and candy and frosting... Yum!

In other fun news, I'm also working on a really fun custom order right now! Six beaded lime margaritas - key chain size! I had to order some more 'margarita' colored beads tonight though, so that I can finish them up this week. And, I may have thrown a few extra things into my shopping cart before I checked out... Oops!

I think one of these might have accidentally fallen in my cart:

Oh. Yep. It sure did. The Guava Punch (pink) pouch fell into my cart somehow! Oh well... Don't want to trouble anyone with changing the order now! Looks like I'll have to give it a new home. ^_^

Brr! It's pretty cold here right now. I think I'm going to curl up in my nice warm bed and watch a movie!

Butterflies and Snow Cones

Well, I had quite the productive weekend as far as beading goes!

First, I finished all these cute little beaded butterfly pins, and added them to my shop.

When The Sweetie and I were at the store a few nights ago, I bought some Cotton Candy snow cone syrup to use with our ice shaver. Then we get home and I remember that I had thrown out all our old ice cube trays at the end of last summer!!! So I still haven't had my Cotton Candy shaved ice!!! Grr!

That little incident prompted me to finish working out the pattern for these little beaded snow (or is it sno???) cone charms. I made up a few to add to my shop tomorrow! When you order them, you can pick any flavors you want! And, you can choose one, two, or three flavors for each snow cone!

I even attached a little red spoon straw with each one! (How else are you going to reach the ice at the bottom???)

I remember eating a ridiculously large quantity of Vanilla Snow Balls (Disney's version of a Snow Cone) last time I was at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park. Mmm... If I close my eyes and concentrate hard enough... I can still feel the warm breeze blowing over me, as I sat in the late afternoon sun watching the waves at Melt-Away Bay, enjoying my sweet snowy slush...

Cinderella's Royal Table

While on our Disneymoon in 2005, The Sweetie and I were lucky enough to have an early dinner one day at Cinderella's Royal Table. What an experience!

We were the first people seated for dinner.

On the way to our table:

Since we were the first ones seated (and since it was our Disneymoon!) we got this wonderful window seat!

See the Mickey Mouse confetti sprinkled all over the table??? I used some of that when we got home to make these magnets!

Dinner was delicious! And our waiter called us 'Your Highness' and 'Your Majesty' the whole time! So fun!

About half way through dinner, we decided that we wanted to order a smoothie so that we could have one of the Cinderella's Royal Table collector mugs to take home. Our waiter asked if we wanted the smoothie just for the mug, and laughed as we told him, "Yes!"

"I have something even better than that!", he says as he rushes away.

He comes back with a white box. I have no idea what could be inside! I open it to find this!

A set of two Cinderella's Royal Table champagne flutes! Talk about magic! I had no idea that these even existed! Our waiter explained that they aren't available to just anyone. ;)

I could hardly finish my dinner because I was so excited! lol Plus, I still had one other thing on my mind...

This dessert!

Cinderella's White Chocolate Slipper - A delicious white chocolate slipper filled with chocolate mousse, resting on a pillow of angel food cake drizzled with dark chocolate. Served with raspberry coulis, and fresh seasonal berries.

Oh. My. Gosh. I can't even tell you how hard it was to eat this! I momentarily thought of trying to get it home in one piece. Then decided that it was chocolate, and chocolate is delicious, and I better eat this chocolate shoe!

(You can still get this dessert, you just have to special order it now. The cost is between $15 and $20, depending on where you order it from.)

The Sweetie's dessert was equally delicious, although not quite as beautiful:

Raspberry Sorbet served with season berries and drizzled with dark chocolate. It really was just as delicious as the slipper! I could eat either of them every day!

When we walked out of the Castle, we went over to where the window is and took a picture of that as well:

We were at the middle window; the one that sticks out the most there in front. We loved that window seat! It has a gorgeous view of Fantasyland, with the carousel in the center.

This was, by far, one of the most magical, unique places I have ever eaten. I highly recommend it for special occasions, especially the romantic ones. ;) Of course, any time you want to eat there will be magical!

Scented Beads Update!

So after giving it quite some serious thought, I've decided to postpone adding the scented beads to my shop until this summer. I'm thinking that during the summer I will have waaay more time to work on batches of these, and get them mailed out quicker. But, of course, if you need some before this summer, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm always glad to set up a special listing for you! It's just that they aren't going to be officially added 'til I'm off for the summer!

Insert funny Disney World story...

One of the things I love about Disney World is all the little things that happen while you're there. I mean, everyone knows they're going to be riding Space Mountain, eating with Mickey, and riding the monorail! But there's so much that happens that you don't plan for!

That's why I'm starting this new little thing on my blog. I just adore sharing my experiences with everyone, and I know you guys would really get a kick out of some of my stories!

Some of the stories are funny, some are magical, some are helpful, some are just fun memories, and some of them just make me shake my head when I think about them later! :)

The first story I want to share with you all is the latter. ;) It took place just a few short weeks ago, on Monday, February 9. Jimmy and I had just spent a wonderful morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom and were then 'hopping' over to Disney's Hollywood Studios for the afternoon/evening. We had decided to forgo Disney transportation on this day, so we were driving our own car. [Note: Disney World transportation is a wonderful thing, and we use the heck out of it while we're at Disney World! We just wanted to have our car on this day, in case we wanted to venture off property to the outlet shops!] Anyhoo... So we park our car in the huge parking lot, and walk to the tram, even though we weren't very far from the entrance. Since there were other people still parking and walking to the tram, we had to sit for a few minutes and wait on them.

While we're sitting in the tram waiting, Jimmy notices that someone driving an SUV has run over a traffic cone in the parking lot. The CM working that isle had them back up to see if the cone would just roll out. No luck. Then the CM has the guy go back and forth several more times to see if the cone can get 'unstuck' from under the SUV. Still no luck, and while he's doing this, you can see that there are at least 3 more cones lodged under the SUV! Finally after several minutes of back and forth, the CM just has they guy go ahead down the isle and park. Everyone in the tram claps and cheers, and we head towards the entrance. As the tram passes the isle that the SUV guy drove down, we can see that there are five traffic cones laying in the isle!

Maybe their traffic cones should be more this size:

I still wonder how you can run over that many traffic cones all at once!

Lovely Lavender

Not a whole lot going on today. Work was fairly normal. lol Well, as normal as an afternoon at a daycare can be anyway. Hehe...

I'm featured in a beautiful treasury right now!

That's my Lavender Scented Handstitched necklace on the bottom row, in the middle! I love those glass lavender bead pendants there to the left of my necklace! Such a beautiful treasury!

This weekend was very nice! The Sweetie and I got to see The Knowing, and Monsters vs. Aliens. Both great movies! We wanted to go to DollyWood, but the weather was just not good DollyWood weather. Maybe this weekend!

I've also been getting information together for a Disney World trip for this fall! I know I know!!! We were just there last month... But I'm so ready to go back! lol We would love to find some more people to go with us, but schedules just never work out for everyone! And there are certain times of year that I just refuse to go to Disney World! ;) Crossing our fingers for this fall though!

Although, if The Sweetie gets to work on this video game project that he's been talking to the music producer about, we won't be going very far from home for very long for a few months! Other than the trips we have planned for this summer while I'm off, we'll most likely be in Knoxville. The Sweetie will need to be close to home so he can stay in good contact with the producer. I'm so excited for him!

I guess we'll just have to see how it goes. I do love this time of year though! Planning for summer vacations and time together makes me feel so happy!

And on that note... I'm off to bake some cookies!

Well, I do!

These are probably my favorite creating medium ever! No matter what sort of crafty things I get into, I always seem to come back to seed beads.

And I do have to admit that I'm running out of room in my seed bead drawers already. I have to idea how I'm going to keep them together after these drawers are filled! And suggestions??? I like having them organized by color; makes it so much easier when I'm starting a project.

Speaking of projects...

Here's the latest from the bead bakery:

Beaded Party Ring Biscuits!!! Oh I loves them! ^_^ I've never had real Party Rings, which look like this. (Not my picture, by the way!) I love the colors! They look so yummy and pretty! I didn't do all the different color combinations, just my three favorites. If anyone wants one of the two colors that I didn't make, just let me know! I made mobile/purse charms out of this batch:

I could easily convert them into necklaces and bracelets though!

I'd really like to do a collection of beaded international treats. Add some beaded Battenburg cake slices to these Party Rings for the UK. Pizza for Italy, taco for Mexico, pizza for Italy, sushi for Asia, etc. If you have any ideas, let me know! I would just love to have an 'around the world' type section in my shop!

...to the Ball! I hope you all have your ball gowns and glass slippers ready! Those are a must for any Royal Ball.

And don't worry, a beautiful carriage is already on it's way!

It measures 2 7/8" wide at the widest part, and 1 3/8" tall. I've attached it to some icy blue organza, and candy pink satin ribbons. I didn't tie the ribbons together yet. This way you can tie it onto what every you like - rear view mirror, Christmas trees, doorknobs, etc.

I can totally see this hanging in some sweet little princess's bedroom window! ^_^

On the very first trip I took to Disney World when I was about 8 years old, I very distinctly remember riding the monorail back to the Ticket and Transportation Center, after a wonderful, exciting day at the Magic Kingdom.

I was sitting at the window, and was able to look out at Cinderella's Castle, as it shifted colors in the darkness. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. The monorail came to a stop in the lobby of the Contemporary Resort; I could see the top of the Chef Mickey's sign, rising up above the entrance to the restaurant. I could hear people bustling about down below. I couldn't believe the monorail had just entered into the lobby of a hotel! All too soon, we were off again. The next stop was the TTC. My family and I walked slowly down the exit ramp. I gazed up as the monorail glided off to it's next destination, Disney's Polynesian Resort.

And mingled in among all of this... I remember a friendly voice... "Please stand clear of the doors." "¡Por Favor Mantenganse Alejado de las Puertas!" You hear that, and you know you are there.

My huge love for the monorail, and this particular memory, was the inspiration for this new bracelet.

Handmade using seed beads, Swarovski crystals, and silver plated chain and findings.

It's a sweet reminder of all the wonderful places the monorail can take you.

Be whisked away to exciting early morning breakfasts filled with Mickey waffles, breakfast pizza, and lovable characters. I just added the Beaded Cupcake Ornament party favors to my shop!

Also, I'm giving away free sample sets of my new scented beads with any orders placed in March! This week you get to chose between pink Pink Grapefruit scented, and purple Grape Bubblegum scented beads! (Keep a look-out for chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and banana as well!)

I've been working on these off and on for a couple of years now! (They are handmade from 'scratch', so I do all the mixing and measuring of specific ingredients; hence the reason why they have been taking a while!) I'm finally really happy with them. I think you guys will love them, too! They are so so fun to use for bracelets! The natural heat of your body will bring out the stronger scents, so you can get a nice little whiff of them now and then. ^_^ I've had great fun mixing different scents on the same bracelets, too! Reminds me of Jelly Belly recipes! Hehe!

The sample sets consist of three beads that are each about 10mm. When the beads are actually for sale in my shop, the sets will consist of 10 beads that each measure between 8mm and 10mm. Look for them at the end of March! If you end up getting a sample set this month, and just have to have more before I get them listed, just let me know! I'm always happy to help you guys out!

A lovely girl on Flickr told me that they look like bon bons... And sure enough! They truly do! I've never had bon bons before, but I'd be willing to trade some of these beads if anyone can get some to me!

I'm such a slacker! lol

I've gotten so wrapped up with working on new things, that I haven't taken the time to give any attention to my poor blog. Shame on me! I really want to do better this year, but I keep getting into so many things! lol

First of all, we had a wonderful time at Disney World! We witnessed lots of magic, and had a blast! My favorite part... Tickets to Cirque du Soleil, courtesy of The Sweetie's uncle! What an awesome show! I spent most of the time with my mouth hanging open! :) It was indescribable! And of course, there were the record lows that were set in Orlando while we were there... A couple of days it was below freezing! It was too crazy to be annoying!

Since we took (i.e. I took!) nearly 1000 pictures and videos, and it's hard to pick just a few to show you all, I'll just post a few every now and then. ^_^

I also got no less than a billion ideas on the trip... So there are lots of beaded treasures in the works!

And some very cool new scented beads, which I'm really excited about. I plan on giving away free sample sets of these to people who make purchases in my shop during March. :) I'll have an announcement when that begins! I've been working on this special recipe forever. They're not polymer clay beads or purchased beads with a little fragrance added or anything like that. They are hand made beads that I have created from scratch, and that I've added sooo many different inclusions to! They are amazing, and truly unique!

I think that's all the updates for now! But definately check back soon, I'll have a whole truck load of new goodies before long!

Well, guys... This will be my last post before we leave for Walt Disney World on Monday! I absolutely can not wait!!! I can already hear Pop Century calling my name. ^_^ Hehe...

When we get back, I have quite a few items that I plan on adding to my shop. :D Fairy items, Disney World themed items, new beaded cupcake ornaments, and maybe even some new sweet summer treats! (It may be a bit too early for those, we'll just have to see!)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Ha! It's actually snowing a bit here, and some if it is actually sticking to the ground! How amazing is that???

Of course, today was already a day off work because of Martin Luther King's birthday. Be sure to check out his speech here. I know a lot of people who have never heard the whole thing!

Not much going on here today. I have a bit of a cold, so I'm staying warm inside the house. Just drinking hot chocolate, working on some orders. Ahhh... This is the life! lol

Oh! And last night I worked on the pattern for a beaded Disney World Monorail bracelet!!! Boy am I excited about that! It's nothing too fancy, but it is looking very cute so far! The prototype that I have almost finished is the red-line monorail; my favorite. But when I have it completed, I'll offer all the different lines... Pink, lime, yellow, silver... I'm all about being able to customize things! lol

And now I'm off to make myself some Lipton Alfredo Broccoli for lunch. This is probably one of my favorite 'quick' meals of all time! (On a side note... Has anyone else noticed that I usually post a new entry right here before lunch??? Weird!)

I am so sleepy! lol I just can't seem to get caught up on my sleep; I need another week or so off from work! (Ha! I only work 20 hours a week anyway... I sound lazy, don't I???)

So... We will be checking in at Disney's Pop Century Resort in just 27 short days!!! Ahh! That should wake me up a bit! lol I can never believe it when a Disney World trip starts getting so close. I feel so lucky to have found such a special place. I truly believe in the Disney Magic that is found there, and love sharing it with everyone who will listen. :) It gives me warm fuzzies and goosebumps just thinking about my 'happy place'!

I'm hoping to write a trip report this time when I get back. I've always wanted to write one. I really enjoy reading other peoples' trip reports, and I like to write. I hope I can get one finished!

I am also hoping to have some of my fairy goodies listed in my shop before the trip. I'm so excited about the little beaded fairy ornaments, fairy wands, fairy wings, and other fairy-type things that I have started working on! *giggle* I love it when I have a theme to work with! :D

On that note, I'm off to find a snack!

I am so excited about Valentine's Day this year!

It got to the point where I had waay too many ideas and patterns made up for this sweet holiday; I finally had to make myself decide on just a few items to 'cook' up for the shop this year. Hehe... And, since I just ran out of time to add any Christmas themed items to my shop, I wanted to be sure to have Valentine's Day goodies for everyone! Shortening my list of Valentine's Day items helped me to get these little sweeties done!

Hello, 2009!

Wow! Where in the world did last year go??? They just keep going faster and faster, huh? lol

The past few weeks have gone especially fast. We've had family in town from everywhere for the holidays. It's been a really fun, although super busy, Christmas break for me.

Today I've finally had a chance to sit down and work on some new Valentine's Day items:

Hehe... That's a little peak at the beads I'm using for these new items. I just got waaaayyy too busy this holiday season to list the Christmas goodies in my shop in time for anyone to actually get them in time for Christmas. So, I'm saving those for next year, and going ahead with the Valentine treats! They will hopefully be up next week.

I'm trying something sort of new with these Valentine charms. (Hint, hint! Hehe...) A new line of little gifts for people to buy when they just need a little something unique, and aren't able to spend a lot of money for the whole gift and everything. I'm really excited about them, and I have a bunch if ideas. It's just a matter of finding time to actually work on them!

As for the big project I blogged about earlier... I don't know when that will ever get finished. Lately, I'm learning more and more about the sorts of projects that I like working on, and about the style of goodies that I like creating. I have found that I like the sweet and simple items the best.

I love being able to finish up something during an evening spent watching So Dear to My Heart, and sipping cinnamon vanilla cream hot chocolate. (Which is what I plan on doing tonight!) Or something that I can easily take to work to play around with during a movie day. It isn't that I don't put as much love and attention into these smaller projects. It's just that I know I can share more of my treasures if they are on a smaller scale. I also love having a nice variety of things for people to chose from.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hmm... I'm quite in the mood for some beading now! (And hot chocolate!)

I know it's not really here yet. But I'm going to be leaving for Ohio tomorrow morning, and most likely will not get another chance to post until next week. (Like I post sooo much now anyway!) Ha!

The Sweetie and I are riding up with his mom and sister. We'll be staying with his brother and sister-in-law in their new house tomorrow night, and driving back Friday. I've been hope hope hoping that there would be some real snow up there. But nnnoooo... Sunny both days! Figures! Although I wouldn't want to get stranded either. But since we already had a fabulous Thanksgiving with my family on Saturday, I guess it wouldn't be that bad.

Especially since I've already packed some beady things to do. Along with some felt and embroidery floss. (No, I haven't packed any clothes or anything 'important' yet. lol) I'm hoping to get a few little Christmas gifts finished up on the trip.

That reminds me...

I just have to share... I have had the most inspiring past couple of days. I've even been dreaming about this wonderful project that I have in my head. Right now it's still all jumbled up; I need to sit down and get the plans out on paper. But I'm so excited about it! Most of my creations take no more than a few hours. But this... This will be the most involved, most complicated, most beautiful project I've ever attempted.

Think fairy tales, think sparkle, think enchantment, think grand balls...

And have a Happy Thanksgiving! ;)

...We check in at Disney's Pop Century Resort!!! WOOHOO!!

It's so hard to believe! In just 79 short days, I'll be in Disney World, people! Ohmygosh... Can you tell I'm excited? *giggle*

I've already got our schedule figured out for the week, for the most part. We'll be there for 7 nights/8 days; taking advantage of the buy 4 get 7 deal. Plus, we get a $200 Gift Card when we check in!!! Hello, World of Disney! lol Since we were already planning on going this winter anyway, the deal worked out perfect for us!

And I do have a rather large shopping list for this trip. Hehe... Including some Mickey Confetti, so that I can make some more of these awesome magnets...

I've already sold about 23 of these guys, so now I have no more black or red Mickey Mouse Confetties! Yipes!

I also get to shop for other people! There's a couple of girls at work that are going to send me to Disney World with some money and a shopping list! lol

It's a good thing I <3 shopping!

Let's Talk Cuppycakes!

So far, I think my very favorite thing that I have ever created has got to be the beaded cupcakes. All sizes. ^_^ It's just so much fun seeing them come together. And they are adorable, if I do say so myself! *giggle*

You guys seem to love them, too! It's the best selling item in my shop! I am always looking for ways to improve them though.

That's the warm colors on top, the cool colors in the middle (or the Mermaid colors, as I like to call them. Hehe!), and the neutrals and mixes at the bottom.

See there... You have a lot of colors to chose from there! Around 250 different colors I believe! (And I'm working on a list of new colors to order in the next few weeks! Crazy!)

So, if you want a cupcake that looks like peanut butter with grape jelly, I have those colors. Minty frosting? I have that color. A pumpkin pie color? No problem. I even have Tiffany Blue! And soon I'll have sterling silver plated beads, and 24K gold lined beads... *sigh* So many possibilities!

Here's a little something I made for Mom for her birthday, along with a bracelet and earrings set. (Which I forgot to get pictures of!!) Oh! And, no, the cupcake is not real! *giggle*

I just listed these in my shop last night as well. They come scented in Birthday Buttercream! Yum! And you get to customize the colors, glitter, sprinkles, etc.

Hmm... It doesn't really seem like all that much when you type it out! Nice!

I don't think I'll be doing any craft shows this year. I just don't have time to make enough goodies for shows and for my shop. Plus, I have some very exciting news... I can't announce it yet though. There's a couple of things I want to make sure of first. Hehe... :D

I have been so busy over the past month!

I've had several large wholesale orders that I've been working on. Here's part of them... (Psst... Those lollipops are scented and the jelly beans are real!)

We also got a new kitten a few weeks ago! Ironically enough... His name is Lollie! lol We thought he was a girl at first... Oops!

Speaking of Lollies... I've also been getting some things ready for LolliShops, working on a few new ideas and mediums for when they open. One of the big things has been working out my own recipe for fiberclay. I think that's finally finished; I just have to make a few things with it to see if I finally like the consistency, etc.

I would also like to have some of those polymer clay lollipop sets up for LolliShops too, but I'm not sure which direction I'm wanting to go right now!

Then there's the Gingerbread challenge at LolliShops... Boy, do I ever have a cool idea for that! And it involves my fiberclay! I've been working on the patterns and candies for that, too. :D

The Sweetie has gone out of town a couple of times, which seems to throw everything off. To Florida for a Navy ceremony, and to New York for a Composer's Convention.

Thank goodness this is the week of fall break! I can finally get caught up!

What a lovely, productive week I've had!

I finished up a bunch of beaded cupcakes for a local wholesale order. They're in the new Halloween colors, so I'm not going to post pictures of those just yet! Hehe... :D I'm going to wait 'til it gets closer to Halloween!

And I completed this beautiful bracelet for a customer:

I seriously don't know how I'm going to part with it! lol I think it turned out soo pretty! All those little shimmering Fairy Lanterns in so many different colors! <3

Super Quick Update

This week has been a bit more hectic than usual. One of the ladies from work has been in the hospital since last Thursday. They found out she has pneumonia again. So they have been doing tests and such to see what the problem is. So I have been filling in for her while she is getting better. I do hope she comes back soon; I miss her teasing me all the time. *giggle*

On a happier note, I did manage to get some new things done this week!

A new size of beaded cupcakes! These are just 9mm wide, and about 9mm tall! (Yes, you read that right; millimeters!)

I've decided to call them Fairy Cakes. <3

Here is a bracelet that I made using some of the pink, white, and vanilla cupcakes. Can't you just imagine this dangling from the wrist of a sweet little birthday girl???

I am just in love with these little sweeties!

Seed Beads Galore!

I have been up to my ears in seed beads this weekend! But, oh how wonderful the results are turning out to be!

I'm going to start offering 'Kits and Supplies' in my shop soon, so most of the past week has been spent putting those kits together. I've really enjoyed the process - choosing awesome seed bead color combinations, picking out the different little odds and ends that will also be included, naming the color schemes... It's been a fun little project! I still need to type up the instructions and finalize the packaging. After that is finished, they will be up in my shop at a special introductory price for the first week!

And of course I will sneak peak them here a day or two before they are listed!

Meanwhile... I did list some new necklaces today!

I am just so excited about our next trip to Disney World! I have one of these little glitter resin MM ears necklaces that I wear quite a bit! I wanted to share them with all of my Disney World-loving friends!

And on this happy note... I'm off to mix some more seed beads!

Back to School!

I'm so excited to be working another year at the wonderful after school day care that I've been at for six years now!! I just love the other day care workers, the kids, the whole job!

However, it is taking me a while to get back in to the swing of things. I'm redoing my schedules to work around the time I am there in the afternoons. And I'm working on getting a nice stock of goodies up for the holidays as well! So if it takes me day or so to get back to you, please don't think I'm ignoring you! I've just got a lot going on right now!

I did manage to get something new posted in my shop today!

Just look at that new seed bead color! I've had sooo many people tell me that it looks just like Tiffany Blue. So... I've appropriately named it 5th Avenue Blue!

Soon, I also hope to have some new scented beaded cupcakes listed, using my new scenting method. :D You'll also be seeing some new color combos, and some new scents... Mint Chocolate Chip, anyone? Hehe... :D

Woohoo for Donnell and Justin!

In my eyes... They BOTH survived a Japanese game show! By the end of the season, I couldn't decide which one of these guys I wanted to win! I really liked them both! So congratulations Justin and Donnell!

I really really really hope there's another season of this show. It was so fun to watch! And sad to see it end!

In crafty news... I guess I'll be making more of the beaded scented cupcakes, and posting them on Etsy! I've had so many people asking for them! I think what I'm going to do is just list the basic Birthday Buttercream Cupcakes on Etsy, and then save the seasonal colors and scents for LolliShops. I may also offer customization of these later. With school starting back next week (yeah!) I just wouldn't have time to get them finished up and mailed out in a timely manner. Especially since I'm already working on two wholesale orders, and a bunch of stuff for LolliShops! You'll just have to stay tuned to see what happens! *giggle*

On the menu is peppermint tea, and lots of yummy cupcakes!

Hehe... The smaller cupcakes are the ones I posted about a couple of weeks ago. The tiny ones that I've been using for jewelry. The larger cupcakes are my newest creations. Well, they're not exactly large... Just larger than the first ones. :D

Each sweet little cupcake measures approximately 3/4" tall, and 3/4" wide at their widest part. They have all been scented with a delicious Birthday Buttercream Cupcake fragrance. It's so hard to resist taking a tiny little nibble! lol

I'm not sure if these are going to be going up in my Etsy shop though. I may just save them for LolliShops. Which, if you haven't already, you should go check out! It's going to be amazing! Full of amazing features and amazing shops... Ahhh! I can't wait 'til it opens! I'm super excited about it! (As if you couldn't tell! lol)

Oh... So like I was saying... I also have to wait for some new packaging for these cupcakes. These won't fit into my usual packaging, and I want them to have a sturdy way to travel to their new homes! I would also like to find some little plates and doilies to include with each cupcake, but I'm having the worst time finding plain white miniature plates!

I can't believe July is pretty much gone already!

I must say, I'm looking forward to going back to work at the after school daycare! I'm so excited to see the kids, and hear about the director's trip to Disney World! I believe a few of the kids were going to Disney World as well!

Speaking of trips... The Sweetie and I took our own little trip to DollyWood yesterday! Boy was it ever fun!

We did remember to take a few pictures!

Ice Cream Candles! These were sooo awesome! They looked so real! and they smelled delicious! The little floats and sundaes were even in tiny little Coca-Cola glasses. And we got to watch a lady make one!

My favorite ride there is still Thunderhead. That is such a great roller coaster; I love sitting in the back! I liked Mystery Mine, too. In fact it was pretty cool! It just didn't go as fast as I would have liked! lol

What a wonderful, fun day it was!

Oh, it's not your birthday? That's okay! It doesn't have to be your birthday for you to enjoy one of my newest sweet treats!

Sweet little beaded Birthday Party Cupcakes!

Each tiny little cupcake is just under 1/2" wide, and just over 1/2" tall. They are made from high quality silver wire and glass seed beads. Some are topped with Swarovski crystals, some are topped with pearls. Some are even covered in sprinkles!

I've always had a huge love for seed beads. There are so many colors, so many possibilities. Seed beads are one of those things that I remember spending my allowance on even when I was pretty young. Some things never change I guess!

Busy and excited and busy and excited and...

Now this has been such a wonderful week!

It all started last Friday night when I was on the computer, looking for movie times for Wall E. While I was doing that, I popped into my shop to see how things were going. :D I noticed that one particular item was getting a LOT of views. I jokingly thought to myself, Oh, maybe it's on the front page. I should go look. I giggled at myself, because I never dreamed that I was really on the front page. lol So I go check the front page anyway. AND I'M ON THE FRONT PAGE! I was actually on the front page Friday!!!

And it is such a beautiful treasury, too! The kind of treasury I've always thought it would be so cool to be in! Beautiful bright colors, awesome items... I STILL can't believe I was on the front page of Etsy!

See my little yellow heart brooch there? With all those other gorgeous items? I'm just tickled pink!

Then on Saturday, my Mom and Dad put some shelves up in the studio. And it looks awesome now! I love it so much! I can have all my things spread out, and I have so much room to work now!

Oh, i just love it! We've been talking about doing that for a long time now. I'm so glad to finally have it finished!

I also got a hair cut on Monday! I think she cut off about a foot and a half! It feels so much better now. And my curls are super curly now with all that weight off of them! And it's that cool length that you can still put in a cute ponytail, or do all other kinds of neat things to it!

I just realized I don't have a new haircut picture! lol I'll get one later!

We're also going to get a new kitten soon! We're still looking for the right one. When we find her we'll know!

And, in some crafty news... I've been working on a new line of scented beaded cupcakes.

They're meant to be like little sculptures, or decorations. Just something cute and fun to have sitting at your desk, or on your party table.

I've been working on a beaded cupcake with swirly icing for a while now. I think I really like how this one turned out. I may do a little work on the bottom cake part, but over all I'm quite happy with it!

This one is approximately 1 1/8" tall. Scented with Fresh Raspberry fragrance. (I just used whatever bead colors and scent I had handy! Hehe..)

I plan on adding some fun little sprinkles, cherries, and other toppings when they finally go up for sale. Right now I'm just trying to get the shape, and the icing right.

I've got some adorable little packaging for them, too! And I've been told that they would make wonderful, unique birthday party favors or gifts!

We all know what I'll be working on next week! lol

Felt, Polymer Clay, Seed Beads.....

I've got so many ideas, I don't even know which medium to play around with! That's pretty exciting! (And a bit sad in a way! lol)

I got my beautiful felt squares from Lupin over on Etsy. They are so gorgeous! Lots of bright cheerful colors to play around with. I highly recommend her felt. It's so soft and pretty. It feels so good to work with.

While I was browsing around her shop, I stumbled upon her adorable Party Ring Biscuit pins. Now, I'm a sucker for bright colors, and last Friday when I found them, I was on a polymer clay kick. So I put the two together...

And made some Party Ring necklaces! I read all about them over at their Wikipedia page before starting. I wanted them to look as accurate as possible.

These are made entirely of polymer clay. And glitter, of course. :D Each one measures right at 1 1/8" wide. They have been scented to smell like sugar cookies, because I read that the bottom was a lot like a sugar cookie.

I turned them all into necklaces. So they are now strung on silver plated chain. And I added a Swarovski pearl to each one, because I thought they looked like they were missing something. And the pearls with the bright colors and glitter look really tea partyish to me. :D And I love tea party things!

I've also got some more ideas for polymer clay tea party treats. And some seed bead desserts. And some felt sweets. And that's why I can't decide what to do first! Any suggestions? lol

In other news... I went to a pirate party over the weekend! Arrr! It was wonderful fun. I can't wait 'til The Sweetie and I have kids, so we can have wonderful themed birthday parties, too!

I feel so productive! Yesterday was spent working on these lovelies...

Yesterday they were all sculpted, dried, sanded, painted, glazed, and glittered. This morning was spent drilling holes and adding split rings so that I can turn them into necklaces. Then came the pictures!

I've already made a few into necklaces, so everyone can see how pretty they are on the silver plated chain!

I just love looking at them! They're so glossy and glittery; pictures just to not capture the sparkle of these babies!

I've got some more ideas for jewelry, too! I'll be working on those over the next couple of days, and should have pictures soon after!

Summer Fun

I'm having such a fun and busy summer so far! (Hence the long time no update!)

I've been to the Knoxville Zoo...

Hehe... I love this sign!

One of the elephants playing with a tire... I think there was food in the tire.

And this super cool butterfly chair in one of the gift shops... I really want one of these for my studio!

I've also been able to babysit my Sweet Baboo!

He's so active now! It's hard to get a good picture of him while he's awake! lol But ohmygosh he's so stinkin' adorable! And so smart! He loves to play, too. He's so much fun to babysit!

I've also been to Pigeon Forge for a car show that apparently got canceled! It was still a fun day though!

The Sweetie and I have also been able to spend some fun days together. Eating out for lunch, shopping at the used book store, going to movies (The Happening, Zohan...). It's so nice!

We ate lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant a couple of days ago. We had been sitting at our booth for about 15 minutes, just waiting on our food, talking, eating chips and salsa... When the lady across from us said, "You guys are just the cutest couple." I thought that was so sweet! It made me feel all warm and fuzzy. lol I love it when people say things like that!

Yesterday I went with my brother to take his pet snake back to the pet store. It was just a little baby, and wouldn't eat anything, and they didn't want it to starve, so they finally gave in and took it back. I had to hold it while he drove. "I'll just wrap it around your wrist; it'll be like a little bracelet." He tells me this after I realize that I'm going to be holding the snake, not the snake in his aquarium. "Yeah, a little bracelet with fangs." It wasn't so bad, and I even got sort of attached to the little guy!

As far as creativeness... I've got so many ideas right now, that I don't even know where to begin!

I did add a couple of new scented brooches to my shop.

I've got a really cute idea for something similar to these hearts! Still using the heart shapes, and maybe a couple of other shapes. It's going to be a new sort of scented sachet. I'm just waiting to get a couple of things in the mail before I can carry out my sweet, sweet plans! Hehe!

I also finished up some experimenting with something totally different than felt yesterday! And for the rest of today, I'm going to be making actual jewelry items with it. I hope everyone likes bright and glittery! ;)

But first, I need to grab a quick lunch! Then I'm off to create!

Shopping online...

If there's one thing I don't like about shopping online, it's having to wait for my goodies to get here! :) I've got 4 or 5 packages of supplies coming this week, and I'm getting so impatient! And I feel sorry for the poor mail lady; she must think I'm stalking her!

To help with the waiting, I've been working on my bead embroidery.

I actually started this back in the winter, but never got around to finishing it during the holiday orders rush. I don't know what it's going to be yet; a brooch or a pendant, or perhaps a hair barrette. I'll have to see how big it is when it's finished.

Last night I also started working on some templates for my felt items. You can't see those yet though... Hehe... It would ruin the surprise for the finished items! There's one in particular that I'm really excited about. I've already got the glitter and the felt colors picked out for it! All I need is my felt!

And last, but not least, I worked on some of the scented 'filling' for yet some more felt items! I'm mostly excited about the little scented felt cupcakes idea that I have. I think they will make adorable party favors!

As you can see, I really need my felt!

Now, I'm off to stalk the mail lady again!

Cookies and Rain

Yesterday was a rather cloudy, rainy day. Today has been much sunnier and warm.

The Sweetie's parents came over, and we made breakfast for dinner. Hehe... Eggs, bacon, toast, grapes, and orange sweet rolls.

After dinner, my MIL and I made chocolate chip cookies. We used my super nice KitchenAid mixer for the first time! Now I'm in the mood for some baking! Well, at least some mixing. :D

While we were waiting for them to get here, I worked on some ideas and sketches of some new felt ideas. I'm so excited to incorporate some of my seed bead stash into my felt creations!

I'm thinking of some really sparkly, fun accessories for the summer! And the basic ideas could easily be used for fall, winter, and spring, too! I'm really liking the idea of interchangeable sets as well!... :D

Now I'm off to run some errands!

Relax and Plan

What a nice relaxing day! I got pretty much all the housework finished over the week, so today I've just been relaxing, watching movies, and doing random little crafty bits, but not actually finishing anything. I'm really just waiting on my lovely felt squares to get here. That's all I can think about! All the pretty felty ideas I have floating around in my head! Why oh why is the UK so far away??? lol

I also worked on our Disney World plans.

Hehe... That's only a few of my 'planning materials'. In the top left is my Passporter. The top right is my little planning binder full of all kinds of plans and ideas. I carry it around with me everywhere I go. It has sections on beads, polymer clay, Disney World, candy making... Everything! And last, but not least, a couple of maps from Pop Century and the Polynesian.

Speaking of the Polynesian...

We've decided to stay at Pop Century all 8 nights, instead of splitting the stay. We got a post card in the mail to get 40% off our room, and we didn't want to pass that up! Plus, it is such a wonderful, fun resort! Just look at these pictures! And don't forget to click on the different sections for more wonderful pictures! We really like the 80's section!

I made a list of some of the restaurants that we need to make reservations for as well:

Boma Dinner - No question! A must for every trip!
Kona Cafe - We did dinner here last time, now we would like to try lunch.
Rose & Crown - Still iffy. We loved this place last year, but may do something else in World Showcase instead.
Tusker House - I loved it when it was a counter service! I'm excited to try the new buffet!
Yak & Yeti - Maybe; just can't decide on this one.

The Sweetie also wants to eat a really nice breakfast somewhere. So I'm looking to see who has the best big breakfast menu. I'm thinking it may be Boma. Twice in one trip! It will be great to have a big breakfast on the day we leave, since we'll be in the car a lot that day.

I would also like to have an afternoon on the Sea Raycers! Gosh, they look so fun! We were taking the boat from Wilderness Lodge back to the Magic Kingdom last year, and saw several of these around. I've wanted to do it ever since!

Then there's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party... Ah! So much to do there! lol

Piddly Postings...

I find this very hard to believe, but now that I have the summer off, I seem to have even less time for getting jewelry done than when I was working at school!

I have gotten a lot of house cleaning done though! Woohoo! Our bedroom, our bathroom, the guest bathroom, the kitchen, dusting, etc. Next I would like to start putting shelves up in the studio. That would be awesome to get that finished this summer!

But don't worry, I haven't spent all of my time cleaning! (It just feels like it! lol)

Jacob and Tessi had a house warming party last Sunday, and Mom and I created 75 little mini chocolate cupcakes for the party on the Saturday before. We made the buttercream icing and the filling for them, then assembled them. Half of them were chocolate cake with mint chocolate filling and bright green mint buttercream. The other half were chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and buttercream frosting. The mint ones had little dark chocolate mint hearts on top of them, which I also made. We even used mint out of Mom's garden! Just call us 'Martha'!

At the beginning of the week I also made some Old Fashioned Strawberry Shortcakes out of these huge strawberries:

They were super yummy! I'm also thinking of picking some blackberries out of the back yard and making a cobbler this weekend... Mmm! Yum!

I've also had time to work on a few new Mini Fairy Lantern bracelets! Each bracelet is inspired by travel, and some of the places I would like to visit.

In other exciting news... I just ordered a bunch of little felt squares from Etsy. I can't wait 'til they get here! I was on a felt kick back in the fall, but was getting a lot of orders for other things, so I had to put the felt on hold. Now I'm determined to make some little felt goodies for my shop! Some of them will even be scented and/or covered in glittery glitter! :D

I've been sketching out some ideas, and I must say that I'm very excited about the possibilities. Especially now that I'm going to have a nice selection of beautiful, bright colors to work with!

Were does the time go??? It's already time for lunch! (A bit of a late lunch, but I had to let you guys know what I was up to!)

Oh! One more last bit of excitement! My new Black Baggallini Messenger finally arrived! I can't wait to take it with me to Disney World!

New Baggallini for Disney World!! A review. :D

I am so super excited right now! I just ordered my new black Baggallini Messenger bag for our Disney World trip this fall! It should be here in just a few days!!!
'What's a Baggallini?', you're probably wondering. Well, it's only the very best travel bag I have ever used. And I have used a lot! lol Seriously, I used to shop for good WDW travel bags before every trip. And sure, I found some that worked okay. But then, before the next planned Disney trip, I was out looking for another bag.

Then it happened... In the summer of 2006 I purchased a purple Baggallini Messenger in rip-stop nylon. I had meant to save it for our January 2007 WDW trip, but decided to go ahead and use it that summer for our other road trips, since I was excited to try it out!

And oh my gosh... It is the most wonderful bag!

This is taken from my previous review from 12/2006:

"I loved carrying it! Now every time we go on a trip of any kind I take my Baggallini. It's perfect for in the car, and for when we actually get to our destination. You see, I am a collector. When I see brochures, maps, freebies of any sort, I simply MUST pick them up to add to my 'collection'. So I have to carry some type of bag to make it easier on DH - since he would be the one carrying all of my new additions. Plus, I like to have my iPod, some candy/gum/snacks, lip gloss, sunglasses, phone, money/change, important cards, pens, a small notebook to journal in, a guidebook of where ever we're going, etc. And there's a place for everything - no digging around to find lip gloss, or some change for a coin press. I also like the way it looks. It makes me feel like I'm going on an adventure! Another reason why I like the Baggallini is because the 'water-proof' ones are REALLY water-proof! I know this from experience! While on our way to Nashville a couple of weeks ago, we had stopped at a rest stop to potty and get some snacks - we were already tired of the ones we had brought! Anyway, I had carried my Baggallini in the rest area with me. While we were choosing our snacks from the machine, an absolute downpour started. We were going to wait it out, but after about 10 minutes, we decided to just go ahead and get back on the road. Even though we weren't parked very far away, we still got absolutely SOAKED on our way back to the car. I mean we were drenched! It looked like we had fallen into a swimming pool with our clothes on! So, to make a long story a little bit shorter , when I opened my Baggallini to get my journal out, everything inside was completely dry. Not even a drop of water got in. Now the purple bag has been to Williamsburg/Busch Gardens several times, various road trips to Nashville, Atlanta, and Chattanooga. And Disney World, of course!

I opted to get a new black bag when I got an e-mail with a code to get it for just $20 shipped! I had been wanting to get the black one for some time, so that I could decorate the zippers with some of my stitched Mickey charms:

Those are just the basics I carry with me at WDW. Sometimes I also had the camera, refillable mug, souvenirs, and/or Pal Mickey in my bag. I was even able to stuff a light fleece jacket in there as well!

And, like I mentioned earlier, everything has a place. There are plenty of pockets and zippers to store things. That's one of my favorite features. One of my favorite pockets is the one on the back:

This was great for storing receipts until I got the chance to put them in the Passpockets at the end of the day. And for quick access to maps and other papers that I collected during the day.

I liked storing my cell phone in the velcro pocket on the side. I could answer it quickly when it rang, and I could feel it vibrating, so I never missed a call from home!

And then there's the pocket on the shoulder strap...

"The little pocket on the strap is just genius! I used it to carry my Key to the World card, FASTPASSES, and my sun-glasses clip when we went inside an attraction. I never had to dig around for my KTTWC when we were getting a FASTPASS, and I didn't have to dig around for my FASTPASS when it was time to use it. I just unzipped the zipper, pulled out what I needed, and ta da! I didn't even have to turn the bag around or off my shoulder! Perfect!

Speaking of my shoulder... My shoulder never got sore, and I'm always the one who carried it. And I liked carrying it, too! It made me feel like I was going off on some wonderful adventure all the time! lol (And at WDW, I really was!)"

Oh! And as far as getting dirty. It doesn't. Every thing that I have gotten on mine has wiped clean off. And I even washed it when we got back from WDW, since I was washing everything else it seemed like, and it was good as new! I didn't put it in the dryer though!

So... Yea... I highly recommend this bag. I have no complaints about it whatsoever. It's perfect and fun for a trip to Walt Disney World! There are several places to buy them online: eBags, ShoeBuy, and Amazon are a few of the places that I've seen them.

A whole week!

I can't believe a whole week has gone by and I'm just now finding the time to update here!

It was a busy week though.

We had a huge inspection at work on Wednesday. We were supposed to have it last Wednesday, but they called and canceled at the last minute! Thank goodness it's over with now!

Also, my brother and sister-in-law moved out of my parents' house, and into their very own apartment! It was so exciting helping them move! It's the first time either of them have been out on their own, so they were both pretty excited as well! And they are a bit closer to my house now, so that is good! Especially since they have a pool! lol

And I made Mom's Mother's Day gift this week, too. I still have a few last minute things to add, but the main gift is finished. I'm not going to post pictures until after I give it to her. In case she reads here! :D

Mini Fairy Lanterns - Full Spectrum!

This is what I've been working on all week!

I wanted to have a bunch of Mini Fairy Lanterns made up in bunches of different colors so it would be easier for me to play around with color combinations. It was a fun project! And I think they look so beautiful all lined up like this! I'm really thinking that this would make an awesome charm bracelet, too! With all these beautiful colors. Right now they are just temporarily strung on silver wire, so I can keep up with them. But soon... They will be turned into necklaces, earrings, and bracelets! (If I can bare to take this apart! lol)

Oh! And I stole this picture from my SIL's MySpace page so you could see the prom jewelry that we made for her!

She had never made any kind of jewelry before, so I did most of it. lol :D She worked hard on cutting the chain and picking out the beads though! I think it turned out sooo pretty! I made the earrings later that night, after she had gone home, and I realized that she left her green cube beads at my house!

Sooo... That's what I've been up to!

I'm babysitting my baby nephew right now, so this is going to be a super short post! lol

I did manage to get a few pictures of my new Mini Fairy Lantern Necklace while he was napping:

Yep, you've seen that color combination before! lol I really like it! With the dusty blue, deep raspberry, and the rich chocolate, it just looks so elegant and vintage. I can't think of a good name for it yet, but I have a few in mind. I'm going to list the necklace in my shop tomorrow morning, so I have to pick out a good name by then! If you have a name you'd like to suggest, I would love to hear it!

Oh! I also want to point out that those are the new Mini Fairy Lanterns! They are so tiny! I love being able to create pretty color combos with them in the same necklace. I <3>

I have been such a slacker this week! Well, as far as my shop goes anyway. But with good reason!

I've been helping my SIL with her prom jewelry this week! And after several evenings of shopping for materials, and then another evening of actually putting the jewelry together, we finally got it all finished!

And it turned out so beautiful! We did a gorgeous necklace, and a pair of earrings. The colors she chose are spring green and black. Her dress is a lovely little strapless number, and the necklace is going to look GREAT with it! The next time I'm over at their house, I'll be sure to get some pictures of it, because it is a beauty!

And today I did finally add a new bracelet to my shop!

I just listed it a few minutes ago! I just love this one, too! One of my favorite materials is Swarovski crystals; it's so fun doing the wire wrapping!

I also have this bracelet, that will most likely be listed tomorrow...

I've really been into pink lately. I think it's because it's spring, and I'm just really loving the pretty, bright colors of the season! Especially the beautiful pink dogwood trees that line my street. That, along with the nice, warm weather we're having, really makes for a happy girl! lol

Happy Monday to you all! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I’m sure it went by too fast for you guys, too!

I spent most of my weekend experimenting with different designs and ideas and materials... Hehe…

Yesterday evening, The Sweetie and I went to the park to eat dinner, and it was surprisingly cold! We were sitting on the bench shivering and laughing at how we were the only people wearing shorts! lol I just don’t ever know what to wear! It was a nice evening though! :D

And… As I said, I’ve been experimenting… I really like the way the mini hand stitched food items look.

Very whimsical and fun, yet easily wearable! I don’t know what it is about the threads… They give the items a very unique, sort of quirky look. And I love the texture! I have plans for ice cream cones for summer, too! As well as some other seasonal treats. But you’ll just have to wait for those!

I get so distracted with experimenting… I really was hoping to have at least one more Scented Softie or Scented Sweetheart listed last week! Sheesh! There’s just so much to do! Oh! See??? Like right now I just got a really cool idea from looking through some princess stuff on Etsy! Ah! I’m such a mess! lol

Well, I will list some more things this week; I’m just not even going to name what they are. Mainly because I don’t even know yet! lol

I've been in the Strawberry Patch!

Well... Not really, but it sure smells like it!

I just finished this special Scented Strawberry Patch Necklace:

And it is very special indeed! The inspiration for this creation is a memory I have of wandering in my neighbor's strawberry patch, back when I was just barely old enough to be in school! She gave me permission to 'test' as many strawberries as I needed! lol What fun I had going from row to row, trying to find the best section of juicy sweet strawberries!

I'm so happy that I got this necklace finished. It was so much fun to make! I went through several different shapes and scents before I was happy with the finished product. And I also did several variations on the seeds as well.

All in all, I am so happy with this necklace. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

Flowers and... Watermelon?

I am quite amused right now. *giggle*

Last night my husband brought home some flowers and a watermelon for me. I can see you right now thinking, What's wrong with that?

Well... Here is the source of my amusement... Don't you usually hear of ladies getting flowers and a box of chocolates? lol And here my Sweetie comes home with some beautiful roses...

...and one of the best watermelons I have ever eaten!

For some reason, I just find that really funny! Now don't get me wrong; he knows me very well! I would rather have watermelon than just about anything! (Including a box of chocolates!) So he did a good job. :) Actually, almost half of the watermelon is gone already! I <3 watermelon! lol Hehe! (It's the little things... I'm tellin' ya!)

I'm also excited to help my SIL design and create her jewelry for Prom. I'm really trying hard to get her into jewelry making, so I'll have someone to share the obsession with. ;) Her prom dress is my favorite shade of bubblegum pink, and it has little sparkles all over it. Her jewelry is going to be made with silver and black Swarovski crystals - so pretty with the pink dress! We've also talked about incorporating ribbons and pearls, too. It's a really fun process!

And now I'm off to get some lunch. And some more of that watermelon! ;)

I just posted my first Scented Softie necklace in the spring line!

I can't believe how it smells just like a lemon cupcake with loads of sweet lemon icing! I think I gain a few pounds every time I sniff it! lol You can find it here!

I will be posting the rest during this next week! I think you all are really going to like them! They are a bit larger than this one. I dunno... For some reason I just like the larger ones that I made. The Sweetie says they look like candy all piled up on my table! ^_^

Also I've been playing around with new shapes for the softies! It's slow going, but I think it's definitely going to be worth it! ;)

Come on, be excited with me! lol I'm soo looking forward to this weekend! For once, I have nothing planned, and I'm looking forward to just relaxing with my thread and beads! (And good-smelling things!) :D

I was just looking out the window, and it's so windy out there! But very sunny; I thought it was supposed to be nasty and rainy all day. How nice!

O... I'm so disappointed that I haven't able to get my Scented Softies listed yet. Some of my 'ingredients' were late arriving, so it will most likely be Monday. Or maybe tomorrow. ;) (I hope you guys like lemon cupcakes!)

I've also been playing around with some different designs, and a few little embellishments. Hehe! Sometimes I think that experimenting is the best part! lol Although I do like when I get the hang of something, and have a finished creation to admire, too! I suppose I just adore the whole process!

Oh! Also... I won the cutest reversible headband from Terri at Callidora! And it arrived today! It is sooo pretty! I'm so excited to wear it! I noticed that she has a matching tote bag in her shop, too, which is equally adorable. ;)

And now I'm off to find some lunch!

Sweet Scented Softies

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was nice and relaxing; as always, it went by way too fast!

I did get a chance to work on some more jewelries for my shop!

I call them Softies. lol Lately I've been playing around with different textures in my jewelry. I've found a lot of solid pieces with different textures, but I wanted something that was softer, more light and airy for spring and summer. Yet I can easily see these going into fall, with shades of red, orange, yellow, brown. And winter, with icy blues, white, and of course red and green.

Even better... I'm going to be working on some scented Softies this week! I'm super excited about those! I did a few experiments with scented ones over the weekend. The one I'm wearing is Lavender Vanilla scented. It smells so wonderful! I've also got plans for scents like Coconut Lime, Black Raspberry Vanilla, and Sugar Dipped Strawberries! All are perfect for summer! *Does a little happy dance*

I would love to hear your ideas for colors and scents as well!

As soon as I decide on the stringing material, I'll list a couple in the shop. I haven't figured out if I want to use silver chain, or maybe some kind of grosgrain or organza ribbon. I'm also wondering if a larger size of ball chain would look cute! I didn't think it would be such a tough decision! lol

Ah! I made my first sale on Etsy yesterday! I'm so thrilled! It was just the motivation I needed to start on these...

This is a picture of my new little Fairy Lantern Necklaces! Well, actually this is a picture of three of the fairy lanterns on one necklace. When they go up in my shop, it will be one Fairy Lantern on sterling silver ball chain. And don't be fooled by this picture; these little lanterns are tiny! The whole lantern measures right at 11/16" tall, including the wire-wrapped loop! See? Tiny!

My Bead Buffet

I just came across the most interesting page in one of my idea journals.

When I was in high school, I had a lot of free time in class to just sit and read, draw, write... Whatever I was into at the moment. One morning, in an English class, I came up with the most wonderful idea!

The idea is to have a delicious Bead Buffet! Oh how I would love to do this! I don’t know enough people in this area to pull of something like this, but I wanted to share my idea with everyone in case some of you might have the means to do your own Bead Buffet! The proceeds could go to a local charity or something.

Each guest would pay a predetermined amount of money in advance for the food portion and entrance into the Party. They would also donate beads in advance to add to the buffet.

When they arrive they will be given a small, clear take-out box, with a pair of mini chopsticks attached somehow to the handle. Or you could have the boxes sitting at the beginning of the buffet line, so guests could visit the buffet as they wish.

At one long table, or set of tables, we will have set up all kinds of beads (glass, seed, shell, gemstones, etc.) in all different kinds of containers – martini glasses, candy bins, glass bowls, etc.

There will be appropriate scoops placed in each container, as the guests go through scooping the beads they want, they will pay per scoop (this will eliminate the ‘hogging’ of special beads). Polymer clay and Lampworked beads would be displayed and bought differently – still working on the details.

There would also be piles of little plastic bags scattered throughout, to put the beads in before placing them in the take-out boxes.

The Food Menu looks something like this:

Crab Cakes with Fire Roasted Corn Chutney

Coconut Shrimp with Lime Sauce

One Bite Spoon of Parmesan Mashed Potatoes, Filet of Beef, Sun Dried Tomatoes, and Caramelized Onion

A Fresh Sushi and Sashimi selection

Mini Cheesecake Bites served on a Dark Chocolate Heart (Cheesecake flavors to include: Mango, Lemon, Raspberry, and Peach.)

Mini White Chocolate Cupcakes with Sweet Strawberry Buttercream

Green Apple Sorbet served on a Vanilla Crisp

Virgin Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri Shooters

The Bead Menu will look something like this:

Seed beads to include a variety of Japanese and Czech beads in sizes ranging from 20/0 to 6/0; and maybe some 5/0s; also some seed bead mixes!

Milliforie Glass beads in a wide range of colors and shapes and chips

Vintage Lucite beads – Flowers, Leaves, Shapes, etc.

Shell Beads – Chips and whole shells

Swarovski Crystal beads in cubes, bicones, and rounds

Glass Cubes from Italy

Possible lampwork beads and sets

Possible Polymer beads and sets

Glass Shells

Gemstone beads from around the world

Real seed beads – beads from all over the world that are made of seeds!

Cat’s Eye (Some mixes as well as single colors)

Of course there are many details that need to be worked out. I've just given the basics of my idea. It would be up to you all to work out the final event. A fun task to take on, I'm sure!

I used to sit and imagine this for ages! What fun a Bead Buffet would be! Walking around, mingling with friends, scooping out beads into little bags... Add some yummy food, and you have the perfect afternoon treat!

I promise to share pictures if I ever get the opportunity to do this! And you guys better do the same! lol

Being Productive...

...is quite fun!

In the last few days I've gotten quite a bit finished for my new shop. I'm so proud of myself! The hard part is waiting to list the items. I've read everywhere that the best thing to do is list one thing at a time... That is so hard! lol I think I'll manage somehow though. ;) lol Perhaps creating some treasures with this pile of beads will take my mind off of it! :D

So what does everyone think of scented jewelry? I have a bunch of ideas for this, I'm just wondering which way I should go with it. I've already been selling aromatherapy jewelry at one of the local boutiques. It's doing quite well; everyone here seems to love it. I wear it a lot myself, too. I could do food/sweets shaped charms again, and scent those. Or I could to the felt/embroidered pieces and scent those... And then there's the matter of which type scents to use: florals, sweets, aromatherapy, etc. Any comments on this matter are greatly appreciated!

I've also been working on my little Beaded Bitty Bugs... They are turning out so cute! I think I'm going to list one each week, in-between all of my other items. That way they will be more spread out, and everyone can look forward to the new colors each week! I think I've found a good place to get the 1.5mm silver plated ball chain to turn them into necklaces, now I just need to find a place to get those little attachment pieces. No pics of the Bitty Bugs yet; I still need to work out a few finishing touches. Soon though!

Here's a couple of things that will be listed this week! Keep a lookout for them!

Oh yummyness!

I am just thrilled to pieces! Last week I ordered some handmade lip balm from Martinsville Emporium. And this morning... I had a sweet little package waiting for me in the mailbox!

Here's everything together. I ordered the Lip Balm 3 Pack, because I just couldn't decide on one flavor. (And then I took me about 45 minutes to decide on the three flavors! lol) Hey, they've got 36 flavors to chose from! And they all sound heavenly! You would've done the same! Chocolate Orange, Raspberry Plum, Peach Cobbler, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and even Buttered Popcorn! Holy yum! They also have a Lip Balm 6 Pack, for those that are even more indecisive than me!

The flavors I finally decided on are: Peppermint, Berry VooDoo, and Passionfruit Rose.

And they are all... Amazing. I've never smelled such intense flavors in a lip balm! Right now I am wearing the Berry VooDoo; it's a very juicy, fruity, berry sweet scent. I love it.

The Peppermint is the perfect true mint scent. Not a lot of that sweet candy scent that makes you lick your lips and have to keep reapplying. It reminds me of the mint that my Mom and I used to grow in our herb garden. Wonderful!

Passoinfruit Rose... Oh my gosh. This is definitely my favorite of the three. I chose this one first because I thought it sounded so unusual. The scent is so unique. A very delicious, exotic fruity scent, with a nice hit of floral. Yum... This is probably going to be the first one I run out of!

The lip balm itself just glides on so very smooth, with great coverage. I didn't have to keep running it over my lips to feel like I had applied enough. And it doesn't feel slimy or gooey the way some balms and glosses do. Very nice!

They were also kind enough to send a little sample of handmade soap in Demascus Rose, a lollipop, and a handwritten thank you note. I haven't tried the soap yet, but I love the smell. And I love candy, too! The note was so neat to get. I don't remember the last time I got a handwritten note! lol What a nice touch! Add the fact that shipping was very reasonable, and you have the perfect lip balm buying experience! lol

I will definitely be getting more of the lip balm, and I also noticed a sampler pack of little soap bars, too!

Such a wonderful buying experience, I can't wait to tell everyone I know!

Disney Dreaming...

So, this morning I've been browsing Deb's site, trying to decide where to stay when we go to Disney World this fall. It's such a hard decision to make! We really love Pop Century, and with the code we got in the mail, it would be super cheap to stay there. Not to mention it is a super fun resort!

But then again... We've really been wanting to try out the Polynesian or the Contemporary. And while the code would help a lot, it wouldn't be as super cheap as POP. What's a girl to do? lol I'm seriously considering splitting our stay between Pop Century and the Contemporary - Magic Kingdom View. Then there's the issue of whether or not to get the Dining Plan. It's just sooo much food. We may try to snag the free Dining Plan. We'll just have to see! It's a good thing I have several months left to plan. The Sweetie and I just keep throwing different ideas out, and it's getting pretty confusing! lol

In other news, I have finally opened my Etsy shop! I'm a bit nervous about it! There are so many cool things on there; I wonder how I'm ever going to get noticed. I think for right now I'm just going to list one or two things each day, until I start getting sales.

These are called Wishing Star rings. lol So named because when I was very young, I used these very same little 'snowflake' beads as 'wishing stars'. I remember giving them out to friends at school so they could make wishes, too! I think it's neat how beads have always been a part of my life, and now I can share them with others!
